“I was born and raised in Montana. I came down to Arizona to involve myself in the next stage of the solar boom, specifically solar panel cleaning. Solar generation (including distributed) is projected to climb from 11 percent of total U.S. renewable generation in 2017 to 48 percent by 2050, making it the fastest-growing electricity source.’ (c2es.org) I saw this growth from afar and couldn’t resist. Immediately upon entering the solar industry, I recognized an essential component missing from the chain of successful growth in the solar energy sector. That component was dirty and debris-ridden solar panels. Every time I would go out for installations or maintenance fixes, I couldn’t help but notice the countless homes losing efficiency as a result of their dirty panels. This lost efficiency can cost homeowners hundreds of dollars and hinders maximum savings. Additionally, birds were nesting under systems and causing damage, so I wanted to mitigate that as much as possible. I started World Solar Cleaning with the intention of filling this gap of solar maintenance in the chain of our transition to sustainable energy.”
